Maria and Carrick: Elegance at the Cliffs at Glassy Chapel and Huguenot Loft

Maria and Carrick hired B&R Events for the Audrey package, after they had already booked The Cliffs at Glassy Chapel for their ceremony, The Peace Center's Huguenot Loft, and Dahlia a Florist.  Maria, and her awesome mother Angie, knew that they would need a little help with the organization of the gorgeous wedding.
The day started with Maria and her girls getting ready at the Hyatt.  Airbrush make up by Crystal Boyd and hair by Stacy Bagwell was completed, and then the ladies were swept away by Eastside Transportation to the Cliffs at Glassy
Decor and faith were high on Maria and Carrick's priority list.  Maria was inspired by Hollywood weddings, including Eva Longoria's wedding, for the look of the altar at the Cliffs.  The altar had varying sized rectangular cylinders filled with different bouquets and floating candles and votives.
The ceremony was heart felt, and full of faith, while Brian Buckner officiated and Caleb Witt performed.  Brian and Caleb are enjoyed many weekends by Maria's family.  Maria and Carrick chose a sand ceremony.
Maria's ballgown was stunning and slightly vintage inspired and her bridesmaids wore black chiffon gowns, and they were allowed to choose from 3 different styles.
One of the sweetest moments: Maria stopped about a quarter of the way while recessing down the aisle, picked up her gown so it wouldn't drag, and handed Carrick her bouquet made of phalaenopsis orchids (inspired by Eva Longoria's bouquet).  All the guests shared a laugh while the bride and groom giggled as they made their way down the aisle.  It was wonderful moment that Jeff Hall and Artifice Films were able to capture.
Wedding guests entered the reception through an arch of branches, orchids, and hydrangeas.  The railing leading up to the loft was dripping with roses and ivy.
Larkins on the River catered the affair; the social hour was an arrangement of displays and dips in a lounge-like setting.  Maria and Carrick 171 closest family and friends enjoyed a southern inspired dinner buffet.
Couture Cakes of Greenville created the lace on Maria's cake by creating a mold of the lace from Maria's dress.  Carrick's groom's cake was a Gamecock's football helmet.  B&R Events provided vintage brooches for the cake. Pink champagne was served for the toasts.
Parisian lights were hung from the ceiling to enhance the elegant decor.  Maria and Angie chose the most gorgeous centerpieces for Dahlia to create.  We complemented the three different centerpieces with three different kinds of black overlays; damask, pintuck, and cascade.
Wedding guests danced and boogied to the party band.

Congratulations Maria and Carrick!
